  32. To add support to Stephen's report, I'm finally back to trying NetBSD 
  33. again and am getting exactly the same thing using the netbsd-generic 
  34. kernel off the ftp.iastate.edu Jul 21 (Jul 9 kernel?) snapshot.

  36. It worked back in December - when I first hooked the drive up to the 
  37. (then brand new) A3000-UX, and before that, when installed internally 
  38. in the (then, and still not brand new) A2500/030.  I was using something 
  39. like vmunix.731 or so.  (I never installed 744.)  Anyway,

  42. A2065 Ethernet board
  43. HD df0: 880k df2:
  44. Quantum 200 meg on SCSI unit 6 with sVr4 and ados only 
  45. Maxtor  120 meg on SCSI unit 2 with NetBSD only

  48. On a related note, I'm also experiencing the reported SCSI 'hangs' 
  49. (I think)...  I've simply left them (retrying?) and they eventually 
  50. seem to "recover."  But I suspect these events may be causing other 
  51. bizarre (to me at least, since I don't understand what they are, yet) 
  52. errors when I attempt to enter multiuser mode.
